In her own words…
We love sharing tear-jerking stories of trials and triumph that we get to witness every day. But its even better hearing them from the heart of our student residents.
Arrianna is a mom in our program who shared these words: “…lives are not only saved, but healed and transformed. What a blessing it is to be here and be a part of all the restoration and beauty.”
It is powerful to see broken lives restored that in turn participate in the transformation of others around them. Join us in praying for Arrianna and her family and all of the women she influences around her in our program.

Beauty, art and creativity are a critically dynamic element in the elevation of those with broken spirits.
One of the most frequent comments about the Orange County Rescue Mission’s campuses is how tastefully picturesque they are. We intentionally design our programs around state of the art aesthetics. The Ahmanson Family has even played a generous role in outfitting our facilities with an…
Help us welcome our newest baby…
"Houston" the colt, named after our renowned Double R Ranch former director Houston Ray Johnson. You might notice this member of the family has 4 legs, that is because he was born to one of our Arabian therapy horses at our ranch program. This is a beautiful picture of new life birthed among the men who have courageously taken the steps toward their own new lives down at the DRR.
Join us in celebrating growth and new life in the lives of men walking into their second chance at the Double R Ranch!

What does life look like after the Rescue Mission?
A question I am frequently asked in regards to the men, women, and children we serve at the Orange County Rescue Mission is concerning our ‘success rate.’
One year ago, Amanda graduated from the Village of Hope.
Because of our focus on building God’s Kingdom through the Love of Jesus Christ, as well as the community that developes amongst…
When friends become family…
OCRM is not possible without volunteers, it’s just not. Ms. Jacqueline is one of those faces that faithfully shows up and doesn’t just fulfill a few hours, she LOVES people really, really well. Today is her birthday and our moms surprised her with a surprise party! Ms. Jacqueline, your sweet voice has ushered lost souls into their first steps of restoration in Jesus over our phones and your loving arms have displayed the unconditional truest love of our Heavenly Father to our children. You are loved and so, so valuable to all of us at OCRM.

As 2014 unfolds, I have shared with many of you, The Orange County Rescue Mission’s donors, partners and supporters, my dreams and goals to serve the populations of homeless veterans in our community.
Where projects are in the works to provide housing for the men and women that have served our country and fallen on difficult times upon their return home, there is an exciting endeavor underway…
It’s in the in-betweens and transitions that we are most shaped for what God has for us next.

Our identity is the essence from which we determine our day to day being.
The truths from which you define your identity will ultimately determine the story of your life.
It is unfortunate that some people might go through their entire life, a stranger to their true self and ultimately ‘sit the bench’ rather than star in their instrumental role in the God story playing out all around them.
Mission looks like…
The men of Coast Hills Community Church spent this weekend getting real with the men of OCRM. This is where transformation takes place; setting aside your weekend to examine faith and press in to what God has for his sons and daughters and what our identity and role is in seeing his kingdom come.
No matter who you are or where you come from, God intends to use your life story as part of his redemptive story!

First step… in more ways than one.
We have almost 70 kiddos on our campus. Where parents and families come here to leave behind old ways of life and dark past, we love to celebrate those first steps into new life and transformation. Baby Oscar’s first step is a beautiful picture of the first steps we can all take in a new direction.
So excited for this little man and his family- praying for big blessings and more firsts to come- we are celebrating by your side!

Operating as a debt-free nonprofit, independent of tax payer money, provides for incredible stories from which our funding is sourced. I can only thank generous givers like yourself for making our mission possible. I never want to take for granted the huge hearts behind these generous gifts.
One such giving story took place this week as our campus in Corona was granted $25,000 to feed and serve…
Big thank you to these enthusiastic girl scouts who visited the Village of Hope with blankets they each handmade for the homeless. In an age of celebrity, we love applauding kids who spend their time caring for the least, the last and the lost! Way to go girls- you are rock stars!
